Here are some ideas on how to improve visualization in a philosophical and hopefully, practical way. Drawing starts in our minds and it helps to always be in that mind frame even psychologically.
Louie, I'll bet you don't even have to think of these things anymore when you create a drawing, but it's extremely helpful advice! I LOVE your drawing, and how it demonstrates your tips.
I really like the openess you created in your drawing. You gave the streets of SF a more classic feel vs. a typical busy street. Thanks so much for sharing! Love this blog. Lot's of good info.
This is really an eyeopening lesson. Now for me, the question "what to do while traveling to the office?" is solved. And it will be more productive time too.
i always thought expert artists would just draw away fast and come up with great stuff. but now, i realize, it's great artists that do all the conceptualization slowly before a great picture.
This sounds like a good exercise, it sort of reminds me of Marcelo Vignali's Sketch Club exercise, except I like the idea of applying it to everything you see. Thanks!
