Brian Wong: Drawing videos

Not sure if people were interested.. but..here's sort of a follow up on my previous post.. just thought I'd show some videos of my process of sketching on location.. I have a couple more that are still being processed, but here's the first 3.

EDIT: forgot to mention.. the 3rd video (003) has a brief part at the beginning where the camera tilts up and shows the lineup that I'm looking at..

Wonderful! I'd love to sketch that way, but I think I'd focus more on the details than in the gesture D: (so I sketch pretty dirty.)
I envy your concentration, hehe!

rad> thanks

whoreray> haha I can't take credit for that.. my friend took care of the processing and music stuff for me.

Jon> Glad it was helpful.. some more videos being processed, stay tuned.

constanza> That's alright.. I've always believed in drawing the way you want to draw.. not the way someone tells you to. This is more of a video on how I approach it, there are many other ways, find the way you like and go with it.

Thanks for posting these! It really is great to be able to watch the process and method that others go through. Always something to be gained/learned from watching the way someone else does it!

Eric> Enjoy and stay tuned..more to come.

Did I comment already? Well just in case I didn't, GREAT VIDEOS! I am learning so much from reading the blogs on The Art Center. I feel like I've going about my own work the wrong way for so long.

Thanks for puttin in this awesome work!

t-col> Thanks.. personally.. I don't think there's a "right" way for everything.. in a lot of cases.. there's "your" way.. and that is usually good enough. .. I think with any advice you get.. you always have to test it and see if it works for you.. if it doesn't throw it away.. if it does.. add it to your tools.

What is "Chromasketch"? A process? A pen? The paper? A name? a style?

I watch these looking for meaning or explanation, but it appears to be a collection of (random?) drawings? Are they related? Is there reason for why you did them this way?

It doesn't really leave me with more knowledge than I came in with.

So I'm confused about what is being presented.

robert> just thought people might want to see how i go through the process of drawing. nothing special. feel free to do it your way. I always wonder how other artists go about drawing.. and for me it's interesting to see the way other people draw.. thought someone else might feel the same.
